Welcome! As you browse through this website may you find the necessary and relevant information regarding the vision and mission of our community, the Rector, the Core Team, the history and ministries of this Church and that will best serve the spiritual needs of those seeking God and personal growth as disciples of Jesus Christ. Our faith journey is innovative – we work hard on faith formation, be it catechism for children, ongoing formation for adolescents and youth who are introduced to the informal meetings of Navitas , our Youth Centre, or for adults. In this respect we offer monthly meetings for men, a weekly Via Sacra, Lectio Divina and adorations on a monthly basis. We also offer courses on how to pray (Oremus) and on St Pope John Paul II’s teachings on the Theology of the Body. We welcome you to come and celebrate mass with us during one of these times, both during the week and at the weekends. Apart from the celebration of the Eucharist, in our chapel we also celebrate the sacraments of Baptism (during the Easter Vigil only), Confirmation, Reconciliation, Anointing of the Sick, and Matrimony. The special significance of the sacrament of Holy Orders means that it is usually celebrated in the cathedral or co-Cathedral, though we do have meetings for altar boys to introduce them to the priestly vocation. If you would like to play an active part in our community life using the gifts that God has given you through your baptismal calling, I invite you to explore the various ministries and to assist the building of relationships and the growing of our Christian community. Our ministries include a Santa Marta Group, a liturgical dance class, a maintenance team, a music ministry team, a group of lectors and a catechetical team. While browsing our website you will get a glimpse of who we are, especially if you visit our photo gallery or youtube channel, but to understand us fully, we invite you to join us during one of our services. We would love to meet you and get to know you too!
Through sung or instrumental hymns and songs, as well as through prayer and meditation, we seek to enrich the lives of our parishioners, to help nourish, strengthen and express their faith. Our youth play an active role in this, using their creativity to help the community worship the Father, Son and Holy Spirit in the most beautiful way and to glorify God’s name wherever they are.
We recognize that the development and nurture of our faith is a continuous journey. This journey involves religious education realized through the encounter with the Word of the Lord and the human experience within a community of faith. Our purpose is to provide programs that meet the various needs of our community members to foster their continuous formation.
Our community of inter-generational learners gather together in a Chapel that was only built fifteen years ago and our community is generally made up of young families and youths. The hub of the youths in our community is our youth group, Navitas, which encompasses youth aged 12 to 30. They are mission-driven people who have decided for a lifelong spiritual journey. Our youths understand that they must continuously learn, renew and refresh themselves as adults seeking the paths of the Lord, while serving others in the most creative of ways.
Our chapel, which can accommodate up to 350 people, is now also fully air conditioned, thanks to renovations that were carried out during the spring and summer of 2015. The system has cost us close to Eur75,000 funded through fund-raising activities and the generous collection of donations or loans from our parishioners.
